General Nematollah Nassiri born in August 1911 in Semnan. He with rank of lieutenant-colonel became governor of the province of Kerman in 1949.
He served as the commander of the Iranian Imperial Guards of the Shah during Mohammad Mosaddegh prime ministry. The Shah appointed him to the post of director of SAVAK at the end of January 1965. He was also made deputy prime minister. He served in the SAVAK until 6 June 1978 when he was dismissed by the Shah then he was appointed as ambassador of Iran in Pakistan in 1978.
After Islamic Revolution, he was arrested by revolutionists and brought to the Refah School with other officials in Tehran then he executed by firing squad at 11:45 p.m. on February 15 1979.
