Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ali Mahanloo (aka Major) was born in 1942 in Tehran. He enrolled in the University of Imperial Military in 1962. Since he was one of the top students, thus his outstanding genius was noticed by the university's officials, and he joined the Immortal Guard of Imperial after his graduation in 1966. He served in the Immortal Guard's Corp and secured and protected the royal family for several years, especially on domestic and abroad trips. He also served as an adjutant officer of the Shah and royal family in some of their abroad visits. He was a top officer of the Imperial Guard's Counterintelligence Office since 1971 and served that department as one of the deputy commanders until February 11, 1979.
